Today is a good day to go to the cinema if you
live in Spain. Once more, Spanish cinemas have joined together in order to
encourage people to go to the pictures. The initiative launched under the name “la
Fiesta del Cine” offers us the opportunity of watching a film at a low price – €2.90 – just by registering previously in the webpage “Fiesta del cine
2014”. This special promotion started yesterday and will finish tomorrow so it
lasts only three days but if you are lucky to make time, it is worth taking
advantage of this initiative as the price reduction is quite noticeable in
comparison with the usual price of a cinema ticket. Most cinema-goers seem to
be aware of it, that´s why long queues of people can be seen at the entrance of
local cinemas or in the numerous multiplex cinemas. Have a break and switch off a little bit:
forget about your daily worries, your job – your lack of job – or your studies
and think about a different place inhabited by characters whose lives may have
nothing to do with yours or, funnily enough,
characters with whom you have a lot in common, who would have thought of
it? That´s the magic of going to the cinema!

What do
you think about this kind of initiative? Have you ever taken advantage of it? What´s
special about going to the cinema on these particular days?
On the one hand, I think it´s a great idea because you have the opportunity of watching a film at a low price. Besides, a lot of cinemas have supported this initiative.
ResponderEliminarOn the other hand, I think this idea would be repeated so more people can go to the cinema.
On this occasion, I did´t go to the cinema, but the previous time I went and enjoyed paying less for my ticket.
Apparently, this initiative is launched every six months, so don´t worry too much because you couldn´t make it this time, you may have another chance in the future! Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
