I´ve heard on the news that the Cannes Film Festival
is the best festival in the world, at least, that´s what the newsreader
remarked when he told the audience that the festival was about to begin. I
wouldn´t dare say so because who can judge that? What we can say is that Cannes
Festival is one of the oldest film festivals in Europe or one of the most
prestigious ones. Nevertheless, there is a statement which is undeniable when
we think of the festival of this French city: its festival posters are usually
the best ones because they manage to capture the essence of cinema by choosing
iconic figures of the history of cinema; Paul Newman, Mastroianni, Ingrid
Bergman, how can you help feeling attracted by their powerful presence and
their mesmerizing gazes? Of course, you can´t and the people who are in charge
of the Cannes Film Festival are aware of
it, that´s why their posters are stunning.

Do you
usually pay attention to the posters of festivals? Why do you think that they
are important? In which way can they make a difference in terms of publicity?
