A war broke out one year ago. We would be too naïve if we thought that the war that broke out last year is the only war which is being fought these days. Of course, there are wars being fought in lots of places all over the world. However, the fact that this war or rather, the fact that the invasion of a country – Ukraine – took place in the heart of Europe now, in the 21st century after our recent history of World Wars, dawned on us in a horrendous way.
This is a blog about cinema – and as I often make it clear, cinema is about life – that´s why, I thought that I should mark this sad anniversary so that we won´t forget about this harrowing invasion.
